Living Green Festival 2011
The Living Green Festival was created to bring environmental, health and lifestyle, cruelty-free, recycling and sustainable issues into the public eye as well as empower the ACT community to become more aware, more informed and more able to take action to implement the basic changes we need to help ourselves and our planet. Animal Liberation ACT was a proud sponsor of the inaugural Living Green Festival (LGF). The LGF was to be first and foremost a not-for-profit public education event, but also a forum for people who care about the planet, animals, and our community to get together in a fun-filled and informative space. A kinder shade of green The event was entirely vegan (no animal products), so attendees could increase their awareness of and sample the huge variety of cruelty-free food and other products available in Australia today.
A packed schedule of local and interstate entertainers, speakers, children’s performers, workshops, and films was provided at the event.
The LGF received a great amount of media and almost 2,000 people attended! Animal Liberation ACT held a stall at the Festival, generating lots of interest (and donations - thanks to all contributors!). For more pics of the Festival visit our Facebook page here |
