Ban Live Export
Animal Liberation ACT has been campaigning to help end live animal export. In 2011 we participated in the National Days of Action outside Parliament House, gathered hundreds of signatures on a petition demanding the ACT federal Members of Parliament ban the cruel trade, braved the freezing wind and rain to urge politicians to vote in favour of the Greens’ and Independents’ bills to ban live export, and made a submission to the 2011 Senate Committee Inquiry into animal welfare standards in Australia’s live export markets (click here for ALACT’s submission). Please help stop this brutal trade by telling your federal Member of Parliament and Senators that supporting live export means endorsing extreme cruelty. Take action today by visiting the Ban Live Export website. Live Export National Day of Action, Parliament House lawns, 18 June 2011
